February 2017 – the emptiness….

This is the longest period that I have been away from my family. The emptiness drowns you and although you are surrounded by friendly crowds, the quietness is deafening. You simply feel disconnected, doubtful whether you can continue to stand in the absence of the familiar pillars of support. You know that it is necessary, yet your heart rebelliously rejects all notion of rationality and logic. You long for the simple uneventful life where you lie in the arms of those whom you love……
